Koh Lipe (also called Koh Leepae or Lipee Island) is a small island part of the Butang Island group in Satun Province. It is about 40-50 km. from the Thai mainland and 30km from Langkawi in Malaysia.  Koh Lipe is part of the Tarutao National Marine Park and is about 2 to 3 kilometers wide. There are 4 main beaches (Sunrise Beach, Karma Beach, Sunset Beach, and Pattaya) there is also a small Chao Ley village with a clinic and school.  There are no cars. You can do a full island tour in less then 2 hours. All of the surrounding islands can be visited on a day trip.  See our tours section for trip times and prices.
